Dr Will Anderson

Will Anderson (BA Hons, University of East Anglia; MA, Leiden University; PhD, University of Melbourne) has several years of experience in archaeological research in Europe and Australia. He specialises in material culture studies and survey archaeology, and has undertaken ceramics analysis for international projects in Turkey and Georgia (including the Avkat Archaeological Project, Pessinus Excavations, Landscape Archaeology of Georgia project). He has published widely, including articles in the journals Anatolian Studies, Medieval Archaeology and Journal of Mediterranean Archaeology. He has undertaken lecturing and tutoring work in the Classics and Archaeology department at the University of Melbourne (2008-2010) and has been convenor of the Archaeology Reading Group since 2007.
Will has worked in consulting archaeology in Victoria since 2008. He has led survey and excavation projects including in the Melbourne, Ballarat, Castlemaine and Nagambie areas, and has authored several cultural heritage management plans and excavation reports.
